Hi -
The Farmington Area Goodfellows would like to extend to you and your family a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year.
We wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support of our program which brings food and toys to those less fortunate in our community. With your help, we were able to make the Holiday Season a lot brighter for over 400 Farmington Area children, 81 seniors and 25 developmentally disabled adults. Two weeks ago, more than 150 volunteers delivered our boxes of food, toys, books and gift certificates, and helped fulfill the Goodfellows mission of "No child or senior without a Christmas".
Although food donations were up this year, monetary donations fell off considerably. This shortfall may affect our ability to serve families next Christmas. We need your help to bridge the gap. Each year our warehouse and trucks are donated, and our staff are all volunteers, but our operational costs include insurance, heat, electricity, phones, gas, postage, grocery and gift cards and so much more.
A donation made online today at www.goodfellows.info is tax deductible in 2017 to the full extent permitted by IRS rules, and helps ensure that local families in need will continue to be served. One of the things that makes our community such a wonderful place to live is caring supporters and volunteers like you. Your donation can have a true impact on helping our struggling neighbors.
Thank you again for another successful Goodfellow year. We wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday, and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
Sincerely, Richard Lerner President Farmington Area Goodfellows
